While the city weeps, Rama smiles with serene grace, stating that a father's honor is supreme. Sita and Lakshmana refuse to leave his side.

Rama restores the rightful throne to Sugriva, who in turn mobilizes the vanara hosts to search every corner of the earth for Sita. Hanuman makes the monumental leap across the roaring southern ocean.
