1. THE VISION
RAMAYANA is a definitive two-part feature film saga directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari (Dangal, Chhichhore) and produced by global visual entertainment pioneer Namit Malhotra (Prime Focus Studios) alongside Kannada superstar Yash (Monster Mind Creations).
The production represents over a decade of research, conceptual art, and technological pipeline development aimed at delivering a cinematic experience that honors India's spiritual heritage while setting a new benchmark for international cinema.
2. THE ENSEMBLE
The production stars Ranbir Kapoor as Rama, bringing intense emotional restraint and moral stillness to Maryada Purushottama; Yash as Ravana, the colossal titan of Lanka; Sai Pallavi as Sita, the soul of unyielding grace; Sunny Deol as Hanuman, the embodiment of devotion; and Ravie Dubey as Lakshmana, the ever-vigilant brother.
3. VISUAL EFFECTS & MUSIC
Academy Award-winning visual effects studio DNEG (Dune, Oppenheimer, Interstellar) leads the visual worldbuilding. The original score brings together two legendary musical masters: Oscar winner Hans Zimmer and double Oscar winner A.R. Rahman, creating an acoustic dialogue between Indian classical traditions and international symphonic cinema.
